Halifax Engagement Session

Wednesday, April 12, 2022

CIMVHR hosted an engagement session on April 12, 2022, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, to showcase military, Veteran, public safety personnel, and family health researchers in the Halifax area. The event provided an opportunity for stakeholders in the community to build relationships, network, and connect to discuss research and knowledge translation. The session also allowed CIMVHR to share information about opportunities to present at CIMVHR’s 12th Annual Forum in Halifax on October 17-19, 2022.

The engagement session attracted more than 60 participants from the local Canadian Forces Base, Veteran Affairs Canada, Dalhousie University, Saint Mary’s University, and Mount Saint Vincent University (CIMVHR’s three Forum co-host universities), the local Military Family Resource Centre, and other local organizations. Representatives from three of CIMVHR’s partner research institutes – Chronic Pain Centre of Excellence for Canadian Veterans, Atlas Institute for Veterans and Families, and Legion Veterans Village – also attended the session.
